Dress Code
Glen Echo's Dress Code is strictly enforced for both members and their guests. Hats are not allowed in the Clubhouse at any time, except for Ladies' decorative hats. Denim is permmitted in the clubhouse under the guidelines outlined below during the Trial Denim Period. Proper golfing attire for men and women is permitted in the Olympic Room, Living Room, Members' Grill and Bar area. Pool attire is only permitted in the pool and patio area. When dining in the Main Dining Room a sport coat for men is suggested, but optional.
Denim Trial Period
Glen Echo has instituted a Trial Period for denim wear from July 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010. Members and their guest's may wear appropriate denim at the club in select areas. Click Here to review the Denim Policy during this Trial Period.
Reservation Policy
Reservations are requested and appreciated for dining at the club. In order to provide the best service possible to our members and their guests, we ask that you take the time to make reservations in advance of your arrival. For specific events, there will be a mandatory reservation policy in effect. Normally, cancellations are required at least 36 hours in advance.
Guest Policies
We encourage you to bring guests to the club. On certain events, there may be a member only policy. This will be posted when this policy in ineffect. Guest policies at the pool or on the golf course may vary, so consult the golf shop or pool staff for details.
Smoking Policies
Smoking is permitted in the Members' Grill and Bar. Private Parties may decide whether or not to designate their event as smoking or non-smoking. Smoking is not permitted in the Olympic Room, Ballroom/Sunroom, Main Dining Room or Living Room.
Cigars are not permitted anywhere in the Clubhouse.
