Chef Rob Marbs began his culinary career as a teenager and quickly progressed as a Chef in his early twenties.  He studied under several of the top chefs in the country, including two Master Chefs.  He has had extensive training in nutrition, enabling him to provide special dietary meals for our members.  A culinary school graduate, Rob is certified by the National Culinary Federation.  He has also completed graduate work in Napa Valley, adding to his extensive wine knowledge.  Chef has taught a number of cooking classes both within the club and at outside events, winning several awards.

Through his career, Rob has prepared meals for a wide variety of events, including for two former U.S. presidents, the president of Ireland and the president of Poland.  After time in several 4 and 5 star restaurants, including three private clubs, Chef landed at Glen Echo in 1999.  You will commonly hear Chef refer to Glen Echo as his family, and he is certainly acknowledged as such by membership.  He consistently works to ensure that every member's culinary experience is personalized and detailed, and that his loyal kitchen staff shares the same vision.  The culinary team has been trained in some of the best restaurants and clubs in the St. Louis area.  With this level of experience, our staff can provide you with virtually any type of meal desired.  Our staff looks forward to serving you.
